Ford Master Technician

Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, KY is looking for a Certified Gas or Diesel Technician to join our successful team! Only individuals with Automotive Technician Education or extensive automotive technician experience will be considered for this position.

Job duties:

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, and air conditioning. Ford vehicles require following Ford's diagnostic and repair recommendations.
  • Identify customer concerns quickly and accurately
  • Perform inspection of customers' vehicles and give necessary repair recommendations to service advisors
  • Read and comprehend written instructions and information

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Automotive Technician Education
  • Experience as an automotive diesel technician / mechanic
  • Extensive diesel or gas engine knowledge
  • Strong knowledge base of light trucks and medium-duty trucks
  • Ability to learn new automotive technology and automotive repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively with our service advisors
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

  • The goal of these calls is to generate responses, answer questions, and set sales appointments.
  • Achieve sales growth for our company by handling at least 80 inbound/outbound phone calls 
  • every day.
  • Generate sales and service appointments to promote greater revenue for each of our stores 
  • (Paul Miller Ford, Paul Miller Mazda, Paul Miller Auto Outlet).
  • Efficiently record all customer interaction and activity in our customer 
  • database-enter notes in a 
  • timely manner and record complete details of each call in a professional, clear, and 
  • grammatically-correct manner.
  • Effectively manage special tasks as assigned by the Contact Centre Manager to contribute 
  • to the overall success 
  • of your team, department, and company.
  • Meet individual and team goals and initiatives, including hourly, monthly, and annual benchmarks 
  • for success.
  • Provide daily updates to the Contact Centre Manager
