Celebrating Legendary Hall of Fame Coach Roy Kidd

The world of college football mourns the loss of Coach Roy Kidd, an icon in the sport who passed away on September 12, 2023. In response to his passing, local Ford dealer Paul Miller Ford has installed a billboard on their property to honor the late coach.

Coach Kidd, a 2003 College Football Hall of Fame inductee, is remembered for his incredible contributions to Eastern Kentucky University’s football program from 1964 to 2002. Coach Kidd’s illustrious career included numerous achievements with 315 victories and 2 national championships. He also served as the President of the American Football Coaches Association.

The new billboard at Paul Miller Ford, now visible from New Circle Road, says “Thank You, Coach Kidd” atop EKU’s traditional maroon-colored background. Paul Miller Ford CEO and Dealer Principal, JP Miller, set up the billboard to recognize everything Coach Kidd has done for Kentucky. “Coach Kidd was an incredible person within our community, and his impact in the world of college football is truly legendary” JP Miller stated.
